Chapter Six

Curzon swallowed Achaius’ seed, pleased that he could bring his human lover to completion. To any Gods listening, I do want this human as mine. Repeating the prayer over and over in his mind, Curzon looked down at his satiated human asda.

Stunning.

After licking his lips, Curzon made quick work of cleaning up any last traces he’d somehow missed. He swept his gaze up Achaius’ torso. Pleased to see the rosy flush of blood on his chest and neck as well as the relaxed expression, he knew it could only be brought on by a satisfactory sexual experience.

Curzon grabbed a nearby saddle blanket and gently wiped down his groin...very gently. After he tossed it aside, he settled to his new lover’s right in the hay, pressing his body close to his side, facing the man. He moved his own right leg forward, pressing it against his lover’s damaged one.

Placing his right hand on Achaius’ hip, Curzon began to slide his hand up and down. He skimmed over the swell of his lover’s softening belly, then back down to where the skin ceased its smoothness and gave way to scars. With each stroke, he stopped to feel the soft skin of his lover’s belly or the uneven ridges of his thigh.

“Wh-What are ye doing?” Achaius asked, his words hitching. He brought his own hand up and grabbed Curzon’s wrist. “Why are ye doin’ that?”

“Because I want you to know that I consider these part of you,” Curzon admitted. “I’ve heard the way you speak about yourself and I’ve seen you disregard my acknowledgment of your abilities when you do a good job.” He leaned over him and pressed a kiss to the side of his mouth. “I admire you, but you don’t believe me, do you?”

Achaius’ brows furrowed as he stared up him.

Curzon could practically see the wheels spinning in his head.

Finally, Achaius asked, “Why do ye admire me? I’m an old human with a bum leg.”

Chuckling softly, Curzon told him, “Why wouldn’t I admire you? You raised a wonderful son and daughter. Despite your injury, which must cause quite a bit of pain an awful lot of the time, you get up every day and do what you can.” He snorted. “You think I don’t appreciate that you groom and saddle horses for me? Sweep the barn? Clean the leather? Prepare the horse’s grain bins?” he continued, ticking off the many ways Achaius assisted Curzon. “I don’t care that it takes you longer. I admire that you do it at all.” He slid his hand up Achaius’ leg, across his belly, to his chest. “Just because your body is slowing down, doesn’t mean you don’t still have a warrior’s heart.”

Achaius scoffed, his face flushing in obvious discomfort. “I wish some others felt that way.”

Curzon stiffened and sat up, resting part of his weight on his left hand. He pulled his right hand off of Achaius’ chest and rubbed his own for a few seconds. He knew the pain wasn’t physical, but that didn’t stop him from thinking he felt it.
